How To Get Rid Of Stretch Marks

how do i get rid of stretch marks? have you always wondered of how you can stop these marks from appearing on your body well now you can! here are a few tips to help you get rid of them stretch marks!

We have had a lot of women asking and requesting us to do an article on how to get rid stretch marks! So here you go!
So let’s start by asking a very basic question what are stretch marks and how do they develop?

Ever heard somebody say “You develop stretch marks from eating to many cakes!” Well it’s not all entirely true! Stretch marks are formed due to the increasing levels of a chemical what is inside your body called glucocorticoids. This is pumped through your bloodstream and becomes active when you do excessive weight lifting at the gym, or with a pregnancy, obesity or due to puberty. There are many different things what can set this chemical of in your body such as medications what can result in the development of stretch marks.

No matter how many times you pull your skin it will not result in a stretch mark, this is only true if the dermis layer in the skin is supporting the stretch. The stretching of the skin will only be an indication of where the stretch mark will appear on the body and also what direction the mark will run. Just purely pulling the skin and the stretching will not cause a stretch mark to develop!

The reason why the chemical glucocorticoids plays an extremely powerful role in the involvement of creating these stretch marks is because it effect’s the dermis layer of skin what in turn is crucial for the development of skin cells. With this effect in place, it is a result of the skin being stretched what then reveals and shows a stretch mark. So know you know what stretch marks, are and how they develop! It’s not all true what people say!

How do you get rid of stretch marks?
Well, there are many different ways and treatments of getting rid of stretch marks, but it all depends on the colour of the mark. If your mark is red and pinkish in colour there is a good chance that you can get rid of the stretch mark, otherwise it is going to be difficult to completely get rid of the mark and change your skin back to its original state.  A way of how I removed a few of mine was using coco butter, the coco butter prevents any marks from reoccurring on the skin and has been proven by others not just me, that it smoothes out marks and heals the damaged skin. If your stretch marks have passed the red and pinkish stage then it is going to be difficult to get rid of them. There are ways but they come at a price, for me I tried the none expensive route and it worked for me!

Below are the methods what are used to remove them stretch marks (the expensive route):

  1. Blue Light Therapy – This is the same method of how people remove tattoos, it is also used to remove freckles. This method can only make the marks look less obvious it cannot make the skin turn back to its original state.
  1. Laser Treatment – This is one of the more expensive ways of how to remove stretch marks, but it has not totally proven a success with some people who have had this method done.  How it works, is the laser carefully lightens the skin to return the damaged area back to its original colour, but it might not fully remove the mark.
  1. Cosmetic surgery – This helps tighten the loose skin where the stretch marks are visible, this only works on the age and health of the patient. This has not always helped fully remove the marks due the marks left from the surgery, but as I said it all depends on the patient’s health and age.

If you want to loose your stretch marks I would try with what I did first, rather than going down the expensive route! If you do decide to go down the expensive route please make sure you discuss this with your GP or doctor first so they can find the best solution for you!
