How To Get Sexy Smooth Summer Legs

During the winter we all hibernate inside, wishing for the cold to go and the sun to make an appearance. Well it’s the same for your legs. They hide in jeans and thick tights, that is until the sun comes out.
To get your legs looking fresh and ready to hit the beach, here are a few things you can do to make your pins look amazing!
Dry Brushing
You can restore with a natural bristled soft body brush, by dry brushing them to eliminate dead skin cells and stimulate circulation. Brush in a soft circular motion from your feet up to your thighs and bottom for five to ten minutes. Quick and easy!
Buff Away The Dead Skin!
Using a pumice stone, gentle rub the heels and balls of the feet against the stone, this will remove hard dead skin and leave your feet feeling and looking silky smooth and soft.
At Home Aqua Massage
After dry brushing, jump in a hot shower and treat your legs to an aqua massage. Using a salt based exfoliater, massage the skin in a small circular motion, particularly concentrating on problem areas (top of the legs and back of the thighs).
Bye Bye Cellulite
If you have cellulite, use warm coffee grounds instead of a body scrum, sure it’s a little messy and you’re legs will smell of coffee for a while, however caffeine is a common ingredient in most anti-cellulite products. Caffeine is proven to help eliminate limps and bumps.
Fuss Free Hair Removal
We all know the way to good looking legs, is hair free and silky smooth legs. To achieve this fast and without fuss, use a good quality razor. You can also soften hairs before shaving by having a warm bath, this hydrates the skin before shaving and this will ensure an extremely close shave. This is because hair is easier to cut when wet and supple, try not to soak for too long because this makes the skin wrinkle and swell a little, causing a close clean shave more difficult to achieve.
When shaving, use a gel or a lotion. Mens shaving foams work really well too as they let you know what parts of the leg you’ve already shaved. Although soap is good for cleaning, shaving products will help you get a closer shave, and with less irritation because their inbuilt moisturizers hydrate hair follicles and reduce dryness. Start at the base of your ankle, hold the razor at a thirty degree angle. Don’t apply too little or too much pressure, and always shave in the opposite direction of the hair. Use long upward strokes, and don’t forget to rinse your razor frequently to reduce clogging. Clogging impairs your razors efficiency so you won’t get the wear out of it. You will also be left with slightly stubbly parts if you don’t
rinse often enough. Although we all like to double check that we got every last hair, don’t go over the same spot too many times as this will make irritation more likely.
Hello Moisture!
After shaving, rinse all the excess hair and product off your legs and pat dry with a soft towel. When your legs are towel dry, it’s best to moisturise as soon after shaving as possible, while your skin is still slightly damp, this will make the lotion absorb better. Choose a suitable body lotion, cream or oil (one to suit your body type. If you have sensitive skin, many lotions are available without alcohol or perfuming. Try the ‘Simple’ range of products. Spend a bit of time massaging the lotions into your legs using sweeping motions. If you want a little more colour for summer, now is the time to apply self tanning products. Never shave after applying self tan as it is likely to leave streaks and bring off some of the tan.
Now you and your pins will be smooth, silky and beach ready!

Lind,
Very informative post, especially the intriguing use of coffee grounds to reduce cellulite! What type of brand did you use for the dry bushing?
I’d also like to invite you and your readers to check out women’s Dorco USA shaving products, which caters to sensitive skin. Any feedback or comments would be appreciated!
Thanks! Kaycee
What do you mean what brand did I use for the dry brushing? If you mean coconut oil then any will do… but I used a pure coconut oil from Holland & Barrett. Obviously don’t go splashing out on organic oils because you’re only rubbing it on your skin but perhaps not the really cheap ones either. Hope this helped!
